This chapter is about Jeffrey Lionel Magee AKA Maniac Magee. His parents died in a high-speed trolley crash they died by a drunk driver. Jeffery Lionel Magee went to live with his aunt doll, and uncle dan. His aunt and uncle were catholics so they dwould not get a divorce. magee had a school musical and his aunt and uncle sat very very far awy form each other. The song in the musical was talk to animals. Then maniac stared scraming talk talk! talk! Even afterthe song is over he continus to scream.

Maniac Magee showed up two hundred miles away in Two Mills. No one is sure how or why ended up there, but it is probably because his old home of bridge port is just across the river. Many people claim to have seen Maniac his first day in town but few probably did. Those that actually did, clearly remember him running by them and saying hello, which was quite odd for a kid to talk to strangers.
